David Miller submitted the networking subsystem updates last week for the Linux 4.8 kernel.

The networking updates for Linux 4.8 add many features including:

- XDGP -- eXpress Data Path -- as described in the PR, "essentially running BPF programs on RX packets as soon as the device sees them, with the option to mirror the packet on TX via the same interface."

- Support for Qualcomm QCA9888 hardware in the ath10k driver.

- Unified UDP encapsulation offload methods for drivers.

- VLAN support in the b53 and bcm_sf2 Broadcom drivers.

- NV congestion control support for TCP.

- Support for MPLS over IPv4. What that means is described here and achieved by the 4.8 patches.

- Various other changes.

More details via the networking pull request.
