The pace of sales for the third Humble Indie Bundle that focuses upon games developed by Frozenbyte has slowed down, but this morning it just crossed $600k USD and it looks like it still can breach one million dollars during its two-week offering. We're also still doing a contest to give-away some free copies of this Frozenbyte game collection.

On its first day of sales (Tuesday), it easily pulled in $250k USD within the first few hours. Two days later it raked in $500k USD. Now another two days later, it's up to six-hundred-thousand dollars.

This is from 116,954 unit sales with an average purchase price of $5.13. With these humble bundles, the gamers pay what they want for a set of DRM-free, multi-platform games. With the "Frozenbyte Bundle" they are receiving Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, Splot, and Jack Claw. Windows users are contributing on average less than $1 per title with an average total price of just $4.15. The Mac OS X gamers are a bit better at $6.24, but the average Linux game price is at $11.72.

This though isn't to say that Linux gamers are more wealthy or that there's a bigger market, seeing as the Unigine OilRush sales to date are still at only 1,347 units in over one month with that meaning just over $22k USD for the Russian Unigine Corp. In our forums you find most of the Linux gamers not buying pre-ordering a copy, but rather just waiting for a free demo rather than being charitable to one of the most Linux-friendly game studios. I digress.

For those that haven't yet obtained a copy of the Humble Indie "Frozenbyte" Bundle, there's a contest on Phoronix ending on Wednesday to give-away five copies of the bundle. It's an easy contest too.

To enter for your chance to win a copy of this latest Humble Indie Bundle, simply follow @MichaelLarabel and @Phoronix on Twitter. After doing so, simply tweet, @Phoronix @MichaelLarabel are giving away #HIB3 copies http://goo.gl/n8KdF or anything to that effect mentioning both Twitter accounts and the link (here's the short link: http://goo.gl/n8KdF) to the contest posting. The random tweeters will be pulled on Wednesday, 20 April.
