GNOME 3.26 Release Schedule Published

The release schedule for GNOME 3.26, the next six-month update to this open-source desktop environment, has now been firmed up.

As usual, this second update to GNOME for the year will arrive in September. GNOME 3.26.0 is currently penciled in for release on 13 September while the GNOME 3.26.1 point release is set for 4 October. The beta release is set for 9 August and the GNOME 3.26 RC1 on 6 September.

The complete GNOME 3.26 release schedule that's now been approved can be found via the GNOME Wiki. Stay tuned for more GNOME 3.26 news on Phoronix in the weeks and months ahead now that the successful GNOME 3.24 release has passed.
