Mark Shuttleworth has just revealed the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS codename...

This next Ubuntu Long Term support release is being codenamed the Bionic Beaver.

The codename and focus for this 18.04 cycle come from improvements to its GNOME desktop experience, continued growth and support around Kubernetes, Ubuntu Core in the IoT space, and more.
