Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 Released

With this weekend's release of Debian 8.0 Jessie there wasn't an adjoining Debian GNU/Hurd release, but today that release has come out.

For those wishing to experience the Debian user-land but with the GNU/Hurd kernel as an alternative to the Linux kernel or even the kFreeBSD kernel, that release is out now. Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 is the new release for Hurd fans. Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 is based on Debian Siad at the same time as the Jessie release, but is not an official Debian release.

Debian GNU/Hurd remains bound to i386 environments and is currently able to build around 80% of the Debian ports. This new Debian GNU/Hurd build is powered by SysVinit, is updated against GNU Hurd 0.6 and GNU Mach 1.5, and has various other updates.
