There are more updates in the openSUSE land for both rolling-release Tumbleweed users as well as preparations for the 42.2 Leap update due out in November.

OpenSUSE Tumbleweed has successfully landed GCC 6 as the default compiler now for this flavor of OpenSUSE. There are also systemd updates, LibreOffice 5.2, Mesa 12.0, PulseAudio 9.0, and the Linux 4.6.3 kernel. Plasma 5.7.0 hasn't yet landed in Tumbleweed due to outstanding bugs.

OpenSUSE has also confirmed that GNOME 3.20 and KDE Plasma 5.6.4 and KDE Frameworks 5.23 will be the desktop components of the OpenSUSE Leap release in November.
