Unvanquished Alpha 33 Works On Soft Particles & New Maps
The latest monthly development release of the Unvanquished game is now available. This is now the thirty-third alpha release for the project while it's not expected to reach beta until at least next year.
Unvanquished Alpha 33 brings two new maps (Florlorn and Antares) but are still in an early design state. The other big focus for the past month has been working on particle support and in particular adding support for soft particles to the game that's currently used for a few of the effects. Beyond these changes there's also been a large number of bug-fixes present in this open-source, cross-platform game.
Unvanquished continues to be one of the most impressive open-source games with decent graphics capabilities, though it seems as of the past few months the development pace has lessened a bit. Learn more about yesterday's 33rd alpha release at Unvanquished.net.
