Wayland Live CD Updated -- Pulls In New Code, Features

Rebecca Black OS 2014-03-21 was announced Friday evening as a Linux live test environment for the next-generation display environment that uses the latest Git code of Wayland and the Weston compositor. This Live environment ships with Wayland-enabled versions of Clutter, SDL, GTK+, Qt 5, and Enlightenment's EFL. Wayland versions of MPlayer and GStreamer are also shipped. The Oribtal, Hawaii, and KDE Frameworks 5 Wayland support is also exposed. Last but not least is also native Calligra for Wayland, a Wayland GNOME SHell, a simple Wayland login manager, and various other features.
More details on this updated Wayland Live environment for testing and other Wayland development can be found via the mailing list announcement. Using this oddly-named distribution remains one of the easiest ways for trying out all of the latest Wayland-related work on the Linux desktop.
