XWayland Sees Some New Code, On X.Org 1.14

A number of commits went into XWayland three and four days ago while there was also a push ten days ago. The new code is mostly fixxes for XWayland itself along with other areas related to the support like XKB. The XWayland branch is also now running on X.Org Server 1.14 compared to the older code still on the 1.12 branch.
The recent XWayland activity can be monitored via this Git branch and building the xorg-server code with --enable-wayland (though most recently there is now an auto mode to try to auto-detect Wayland).
While XWayland is progressing, sadly there's no firm statement yet when the developers plan to merge the support upstream into the xserver Git repository. The X.Org Server 1.15 release will be out soon and is unlikely the XWayland support will be merged by then, which would push out the next possibility into early 2014 at the earliest for X.Org Server 1.16.
