Intel Does Final XenGT Release Off Old Codebase

Intel developers have done their "2016-Q4" quarterly update to XenGT for mediated graphics passthrough on Linux hosts for Intel graphics hardware. This is their last release on the old architecture now that the code began landing upstream in Linux 4.10.

Intel GVT-g is the company's GPU virtualization solution with mediated passthrough. This latest release adds support for Intel Core/Xeon "Kabylake" processors, improves stability when QoS features are enabled, and adds Windows 10 "Redstone 2" 64-bit support for Xen guests.

More details on this quarterly update for XenGT users via this mailing list post and great to see all of the GVT bits finally being mainline for better upstream, out-of-the-box support moving forward. Initial support is in Linux 4.10 while the kernel bits will continue to mature over the releases ahead.
