VULKAN
Qualcomm has come out today to announce Vulkan API support for their Adreno 530 GPU as found in the Snapdragon 820.

While the noise today is being generated about Vulkan for the exciting Adreno 530 graphics processor, Qualcomm also confirmed they will be supporting Vulkan with other Adreno 5xx and Adreno 4xx series graphics processors.

Details were published this morning via this press release. Sadly, no news of Qualcomm going the open-source route for Vulkan or working to help Freedreno with any Vulkan undertaking.
