ZOTAC Announces Steam Machine SN970, Powered By SteamOS
The latest excitement this week for Linux gamers is hardware vendor ZOTAC announcing today the Steam Machine SN970, their new living room PC powered by the Debian-based SteamOS.
The ZOTAC Steam Machine SN970 is running the Linux-powered SteamOS and within its small chassis there is an Intel Broadwell CPU and NVIDIA graphics processor to support up to four displays and 4K gaming resolution. Also within the Steam Machine SN970 is a 64GB M.2 SSD for storage and a 2.5-inch 1TB HDD for additional storage.
This morning's press release sadly doesn't set a price or release date for the ZOTAC Steam Machine SN970. However, it's not until November that the Steam Controller is expected to be out along with Steam Link and Steam Machines from other PC vendors.
