Reiser4 Is Now Available For Linux 4.6
If you are a user of the out-of-tree Reiser4 file-system, an official patch is now available to get it working with the Linux 4.6 kernel source.
Mathieu Belanger last week released a Reiser4-for-4.6.0 patch that provides compatibility with the Linux 4.6 kernel. A few changes were needed to the Reiser4's module source in order to provide compatibility with 4.6.0.
Those using Reiser4 can find the latest Linux 4.x kernel patches via SourceForge. So far there's been no renewed attempts or communication for trying to get this file-system mainlined in the age of Btrfs and a maturing ZFS On Linux module.
