Some Community Benchmarks Against The NVIDIA Tegra K1
In continuation of the Trying Out The Jetson TK1, NVIDIA's High-End Tegra K1 Board and Benchmarks Of The NVIDIA Tegra K1 and Its Hotness articles, here's some results provided by the community compared to my early NVIDIA Jetson TK1 board with Tegra K1 SoC.
Later today I should be offering up my first "official" (proper) results of the Jetson TK1 ARM board with its Tegra K1 SoC sporting a Kepler GPU with quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU core (and companion core) while in the time since sharing yesterday's standalone Jetson TK1 results there's been some benchmark result uploads by the community.
From yesterday's standalone results in the aforelinked articles, it's as easy as installing the Phoronix Test Suite and then running phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1405010-KH-NVIDIATEG94.
For those really curious to see how this sub-$200 ARM board performs, some that have uploaded their initial comparison data publicly via our Linux benchmarking software includes:
1405012-PL-1405010KH09 - The Jetson TK1 results compared to an Intel Core i5 2500K "Sandy Bridge" system running Linux Mint 16.
1405014-PL-1405010KH37 - Some Arch Linux benchmarks against a single-core 2.13GHz 64-bit system.
1405010-PL-1405010KH96 - These are some results comparing the 32-bit Tegra K1 ARM development platform against an Intel Celeron J1900 quad-core 1.99GHz CPU while running Ubuntu 14.04... This result file should yield likely some of the most interesting data prior to our performance reveal in the coming hours.
1405019-PL-1405010KH73 - Some NVIDIA Tegra K1 Ubuntu Linux results compared to an Intel Core i5 750 system running openSUSE 13.1 with the Linux 3.11 kernel.
Stay tuned for more interesting Phoronix test data from the Jetson TK1 shortly! If you appreciate all this Linux benchmarking, please become a Phoronix Premium subscriber, which goes to support this site -- including the buying of the NVIDIA Jetson TK1 ARM development board.
