Fedora 20 Has Been Delayed Yet Again
The release of Fedora 20 has been delayed by another week -- both the due-out beta and the final release -- over unresolved bugs.
Fedora 20 Beta was delayed one week ago and yesterday it was decided to delay it by another week -- and to push back all development milestones by one week as a result.
Now we need to wait until next week to see if Fedora 20 Beta is ready to ship (currently hoped for on 12 November) and as of right now it's looking like Fedora 20 "Heisenbug" final will end up being a mid-December release.
This latest Fedora delay announcement was made on the Fedora devel-announce list. Delays have become all too frequent in the Fedora camp so this third delay for F20 shouldn't come too much as a surprise.
Any bets if Fedora 20 final will end up shipping in 2013? If one more delay were to happen, the new release date would be Christmas Eve, which is unlikely to happen nor probably the days before the New Year, so one more delay is enough to jeopardize shipping Fedora 20 this calendar year. At least when it does ship, there's tons of new features for Linux desktops and servers.
