Due to the incredible rate at which Chris Wilson has been pushing out new xf86-video-intel X.Org driver releases to optimize his "SNA" acceleration architecture, here are updated Intel Core i7 "Haswell" SNA vs. UXA 2D performance benchmarks.

The SNA acceleration architecture has been extensively covered on Phoronix since its introduction two years ago, so if you're not familiar with the high-performance Intel 2D way yet, you've been living under a rock and need to click on the link and read up on this superior solution to the default UXA acceleration method.

The first time Intel 2D Haswell benchmarks were done on Phoronix, SNA was in the lead over the UXA default acceleration method. One month later and with multiple xf86-video-intel driver releases spanning hundreds of commits, SNA is still doing terrific.

Benchmarks were done from the Intel Core i7 4770K CPU with HD Graphics 4600 on Ubuntu 13.10 with the Intel Git code as of this week. The system information and Linux 2D benchmark results in full can be viewed within 1307187-SO-INTELHASW82. Embedded below is just a teaser of those benchmark results on OpenBenchmarking.org.
