Here's an interesting, but very brief, Gabe Newell interview from E3 where he mentions Linux.

His comments should come as no surprise to Phoronix readers who read up on the latest content and realize it's fact: Valve's Gabe Newell Talks Linux Steam Client, Source Engine and A Special Linux Delivery At Valve Software.

For those wanting to see this interview from E3, which happened last month, visit PressFire.no.

In the interview, Gabe Newell basically confirms he is showing off their Linux work to their Steam partners. Gabe even explicitly states "why we're supporting Linux."

Of course, this is really non-news (and just confirmation) for those who trust the content on Phoronix that I have been providing in months/years prior. Look for more news soon on the Valve Linux topic.

In addition, Valve is still hiring more Linux developers.
