NVIDIA 304.43 Driver Brings New Support & Fixes
The NVIDIA 304.43 Linux graphics driver is certified (i.e. not a NVIDIA beta) and brings support for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti, Quadro K5000, Quadro K5000M, Quadro K4000M, Quadro K3000M, and NVS 510 graphics processors. These are the latest consumer and workstation graphics cards out of NVIDIA that are based upon their latest-generation Kepler architecture. Aside from the new ASIC support, there's a number of bug-fixes addressed in the 304.43 Linux driver. Fixes include a GLX crash fix on X.Org Server 1.13, VDPAU hanging on YouTube, problems with GNOME Settings Daemon and the display configuration, RandR updates for NVIDIA Settings, and a display palette bug.
This new NVIDIA Linux binary blob can be downloaded from NVIDIA.com.
In other unrelated Linux graphics news, Wayland on a new experimental Linux graphics driver is expected to be shown off in a demo tomorrow from San Diego.
