Libinput X.Org Driver Updated For X.Org Server 1.19
Peter Hutterer has announced the release of a new version of xf86-input-libinput, the X.Org DDX driver that makes use of libinput for input handling on the X.Org Server.
The most prominent change is that xf86-input-libinput 0.20 is now fixed up for properly dealing with input threads in X.Org Server 1.19 rather than the old SIGIO code path. X.Org Server 1.19 is expected for release next month and one of its big feature adds is the threaded input support that's been a long time coming.
The xf86-input-libinput 0.20 release also has tablet pad support, support for the rotation configuration, support for configurable tap button mapping, exposing tablet pad modes as properties, and a wide range of fixes and other minor improvements.
