Intel Preps Their First Batch Of Graphics Changes For Linux 4.15
The first batch of drm-intel-next changes are ready to be queued in DRM-Next as feature work for eventually merging to mainline come the Linux 4.15 merge window.
Among the changes set to land with Linux 4.15 for the Intel i915 DRM driver are continued Cannonlake "Gen 10" graphics hardware enablement, a fair amount of continued code refactoring, DisplayPort fixes, the kernel bits needed so their Mesa driver can expose ARB_timer_query, a GPU clock boost behavior change to ramp things up on missed pageflip vblanks, and a variety of other code improvements and fixes.
The complete list of Intel changes ready for DRM-Next so far can be found via dri-devel. Expect several more feature pulls to DRM-Next from Intel ahead of the Linux 4.15 cycle.
