The Enlightenment developers at Samsung have announced the release of the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL) 1.16 along with updates to Elementary, Evas GL, and Eo.

The Enlightenment Foundation Libraries 1.16 release has significant improvements to its Wayland support in making sure everything will be in shape for E20. EFL 1.16 has changes to the Evas DRM engine to make it more reliable when running with Wayland and is full Wayland support with E20 compared to where it was with E19.

EFL 1.16 also has a number of fixes, some debugging improvements, Eo optimizations for memory and CPU time, better thumbscroll finger scrolling, and much more.
