DirectFB Has (Temporarily?) Disappeared

It was pointed out to me that DirectFB.org is no longer present and it looks like it may have been for some time.

The Direct Frame Buffer library has been popular with embedded Linux systems as well as webOS and other use-cases as a lighter-weight alternative to running a full X11 server. DirectFB has been around for years while its last release was last year.

DirectFB.org, the official project site, is down and looks like it may have been down for some time already as its no longer being listed in Google search results, some Twitter results indicate it's been down for at least a week, etc. With DirectFB.org being down, so is their Git server. I've also seen no official DirectFB announcement recently, a transition to GitHub or other service, or any other changing of the guard.

If any Phoronix readers happen to know what's happened to DirectFB, please send over a message or comment in the forums. Hopefully the project is still kicking as it's been interesting to watch over the years and even in the era of Wayland and Mir there's still interest from it in the embedded world.
