OpenIndiana 2016.04 Released To Let OpenSolaris Live On

OpenIndiana Hipster 2016.04 is the project's first OS release in a half-year. Unfortunately, there aren't many details about the new release. The release announcement simply says, "As always, there were a lot of changes since last snapshot." Update: It looks like the release notes are now up and updates to OpenIndiana 2016.04 include various desktop component updates, GCC 4.9 is now the default user-space compiler, server software was updated, X11 libraries were updated, and more. This is also the last snapshot for supporting pure 32-bit systems.
OpenIndiana Hipster 2016.04 is available in text and GUI versions with ISO and USB images. You can download this new 2016.04 release via OpenIndiana.org.
