Wine 1.3.20 Has Arrived
Wine 1.3.20 has been released as the latest bi-weekly Wine development snapshot.
This release of Wine provides support for optionally clipping the mouse inside full-screen windows, support for persistent HTTP connections, an initial XML writer implementation, support for drawing rectangles in the DIB engine, volume control in the MMDEV API, MSVC run-time function improvements, and various bug-fixes.
The Wine 1.3.20 release isn't as exciting as some of the other recent releases that improve Direct3D 9 support or bring any other magical features, but it's another step forward overall.
The release announcement can be found at WineHQ.org.
More Wine benchmarks will also be coming soon after a productive conversation this week with Scott Ritchie at UDS Budapest about the work CodeWeavers has started with Phoronix Test Suite and OpenBenchmarking.org. He's interested in joining the automated testing fun for Wine as well with our testing framework stack. More details soon.
