xf86-video-intel 2.4.1 Driver Released

Just about a month ago Intel had released the xf86-video-intel 2.4.0 driver for their IGP graphics graphics hardware running X.Org. This update brought Intel GMA X4500HD support, Intel 965 EXA RENDER extension improvements, HDMI support, and much more. Today though Intel has issued its first bug-fix release for this open-source driver.

The xf86-video-intel 2.4.1 driver takes care of a few regressions and bug-fixes until the GEM-enabled xf86-video-intel 2.5.0 driver with a new X acceleration architecture is released later this year. Some of these updates include man page typo fixes, avoiding a segmentation fault with the Intel GMA graphics on the Mac Mini, reorganizing the video BIOS code, add in handling for a few quirks, fix SDVO HDMI encoding detection, and disable clock gating for the GMA 4-Series Chipsets are among the changes.
