GLAMOR Changes Already Get Queued For X.Org Server 1.17
Only hours after the release of X.Org Server 1.16, pull requests are already coming in for the X.Org Server 1.17 development code.
Eric Anholt has already submitted his first big GLAMOR change pull request for the xorg-server 1.17 merge window, which includes new code from both Eric Anholt and Keith Packard. Among the changes to find so far for the GLAMOR acceleration code is Xephyr support for X-Video using GLAMOR, Xephyr support for initializing GLAMOR with OpenGL ES 2.0 on GLX, the removal of dead code, accelerated stipple support, and other new GLAMOR program acceleration.
This first batch of GLAMOR changes for X.Org Server 1.17 amount to around three-thousand lines of reworked code. The full list of changes with this fresh pull request can be found on the xorg-devel list. X.Org Server 1.17 is tentatively planned for release around the new year.
