Daniel Vetter has shared a new round of patches that have landed into his drm-intel-testing kernel tree and thus are ready for developers and early adopters to begin testing these kernel graphics driver changes that will stabilize over the many weeks ahead. The early work in drm-intel-testing that's past the Linux 3.14 kernel merge window includes:
- More atomic mode-setting improvements.
- DisplayPort panel power sequencing improvements.
- 5.4GHz DisplayPort lane clock support.
- Fastboot support for Haswell and Broadwell hardware.
- Full PPGTT support.
- Frame-buffer compression fixes and improvements, but still is mostly left disabled by default.
- HiZ stall optimization settings.
- RPS improvements.
- Various other fixes.
