GLAMOR-EGL 0.6 Has X-Video & DRI3

The GLAMOR EGL 0.6.0 release has support for X-Video via OpenGL and it also has DRI3 support and various other fixes.
Zhigang Gong noted though that since the code was merged into the X.Org Server this may be the last major release with new developments for GLAMOR should be targeting the X.Org Server code that will be released with version 1.16. Only bug-fixes and minor feature enhancements will be pushed into the standalone library. X.Org Server 1.16 is expected for release this summer.
Focusing only on the in-tree GLAMOR code should be fine for those that will quickly upgrade to new X.Org Server releases but may prove problematic for those open-source AMD Radeon users that are still unhappy with the poor 2D performance but will now need to upgrade their X.Org Server rather than just this out-of-tree module. GLAMOR is required for the Radeon HD 7000 series hardware and newer while it's optional for older AMD GPUs as well as the Intel DDX driver as an alternative to SNA.
The GLAMOR EGL 0.6 release announcement can be read on the xorg mailing list.
