Open-Source Blu-ray Decryption Library For Linux

The libbdplus library has been released today that's designed to decrypt the Blu-ray disc DRM. This has been an effort of several years.
Playing back a Blu-ray disc on Linux is still a difficult process (and legally questionable depending upon your location). The steps involved require installing Libbluray, libaacs, and libbdplus. VLC, MPlayer, or XBMC must be installed as the multi-media front-ends. A Blu-ray multimedia database key must also be installed on the system.
The libbdplus code was recently published via its VideoLAN.org project page while the news we were tipped off today comes from this French blog.
