OpenMandriva Lx Now In Beta
OpenMandriva, one of several Linux distributions riding off the Mandriva/Mandrake lineage, released its first-ever OpenMandriva Lx Beta this weekend.
OpenMandriva went into beta in June and after months of bug-fixing the developers have come up with a beta. OpenMandriva Lx Beta is shipping the KDE 4.11 desktop, four different launchers (Lancelot, KickOff, SimpleWelcome, and HomeRun), is powered by the Linux 3.11 kernel, and the DrakX installer has been dropped.
For those desiring more information on the OpenMandriva 2013 Lx Beta, see the OpenMandriva blog.
