There's just one week to go until the 2013 X.Org Developers' Conference gets underway in Portland, Oregon.

XDC2013 is the latest annual X.Org Developers' Conference. After having a great conference in Bavaria last September, it's back to North America and this time being held in Portland, Oregon close to the Intel OTC graphics crew. The event is taking place from 23 September to 25 September at the University Place Conference Center.

The program hasn't yet been determined for XDC2013 but the tentative list of proposed talks can be found via the X.Org Wiki.

Among the expected talks will be on DRM security, CONFIG_VT, the OpenGL software rasterizer, a Gallium3D OpenCL "Clover" status update, the state of Mesa, Glaze as a new OpenGL wrapper, reverse-engineering NVIDIA power management, DRI3, DRI Mega Drivers, and a vendor-neutral OpenGL dispatching library. There will also likely be some discussion about what to do with the X.Org Foundation losing their non-profit status.

Unfortunately this year I will not be at XDC2013 since the dates of the conference were changed after making the Phoronix Oktoberfest 2013 plans, which means I'll be gone on the days of the conference. However, there's said to be YouTube recordings of the event and I'll also be monitoring IRC and the Wiki notes page for any other information to pass along to Phoronix readers.

More details on XDC2013 can be found via the X.Org Wiki.
