Linux 3.7-rc5 Kernel: It's A Small One
The Linux 3.7-rc5 kernel was releases on Sunday morning. It's a small weekly -rc release, which has left Linus Torvalds happy.
The 3.7-rc5 kernel packs even fewer commits than 3.7-rc4, most of which are one-liner changes. The updates include the usual areas of the architecture code, drivers, and file-systems.
Linus wrote in the mailing list announcement, "Please test - although I'm hopeful that it's quiet because things are in good shape, I'd like to get that verified."
The Linux 3.7 kernel will be released in the next few weeks and it presents a number of interesting features.
