More Linux Games Kick Up On Kickstarter
Following in the success of Wasteland 2's fundraising and other gaming initiatives that have taken to Kickstarter to kick-off their crowd-sourced fundraising efforts, more Linux-friendly games have come about.
A list of Linux-friendly games currently seeking funding on Kickstarter can be found in this Phoronix Forums thread. Among the Linux games include Wasteland 2, The Banner Saga, Nekro, Double Fine Adventure, Faster Than Light, and Takedown. Links to all the Kickstarter funding pages can be found from that forum thread.
One of the developers at DarkForge, the game company behind the Nekro title, has also written into Phoronix.

I'm with a company called darkForge Games. I have been a long time viewer of your site and Linux supporter so I'm very happy to be able to offer some content for your site. I have just announced my company's latest video game called Nekro and, of course, I will be making it available for Linux. Since Phoronix has always been my go-to source for Linux news I would like to offer you some exclusive content in addition to just my press release. I would be happy to provide an interview, exclusive screenshots or even videos. I can gear the content towards how Linux gaming is considered in the development process of video games so it's more pertinent to your readership. Is there any Linux questions for the Nekro developers or anything special you would like to see?
Thanks for taking the time to read my email and press release and I look forward to your response.
