AMDGPU Get More Fixes Ahead Of Linux 4.6 Merge Window

With the big AMDGPU/Radeon feature pull already having been submitted into DRM-Next for merging in turn to Linux 4.6. another pull request was honored this week to land some fixes for the new open-source driver functionality.

In case you missed it from last month, the AMDGPU feature work landed for Linux 4.6 in DRM-Next. There is a lot of audio work, GPU scheduler optimizations, GPUVM optimizations, initial GPU reset support, and various other improvements. See that aforelinked article for all of the details.

Not ready for Linux 4.6 is that massive AMD DAL driver rework for AMDGPU.

This latest Radeon/AMDGPU pull request is mostly centered on the newer AMDGPU kernel driver while there is a Radeon ACPI header update with this pull. In total this latest pull has just ten changes and shifts around just about 100 lines of code.
