Valve Is Finally Releasing Dota 2 With Vulkan Support Very Soon

Valve had been working on the Dota 2 Vulkan renderer even before The Khronos Group officially unveiled this next-generation graphics API earlier this year, but it appears in the day ahead will finally mark the public availability of this feature.
SteamDB changes this evening make mention of "Dota 2 Vulkan Linux64" and other Vulkan references (including for Windows).
Via Reddit a Valve developer also confirmed, "We're going to release [Dota 2] vulkan support soon, probably sometime next week."
Next week should be exciting with having Dota 2 Vulkan support on Linux for the public's consumption. Of course, once released I intend to run a variety of Dota 2 Vulkan Linux performance benchmarks! This should be fun timing too for the GTX 1080 Pascal with likely having to buy it next week for testing and thus another target for this OpenGL vs. Vulkan comparison.
