D-Bus Broker Updated To Version 5

Earlier this year was word of BUS1 working on a D-Bus Broker while announced in late August was this D-Bus Broker project as a high performance message bus.

D-Bus Broker retains compatibility with the D-Bus message bus but designed to deliver better performance and reliability, in part by making use of modern Linux kernel features. D-Bus Broker does away with legacy features, only supports local IPC, can handle pipelining, and supports other modern inner-process communication features.

It's been relatively quiet since the August announcement of the project by David Herrmann, Tom Gundersen, and other BUS1/systemd veterans. But now D-Bus Broker v5 is out as the project's first release in one month.

This new version of D-Bus Broker now bundles in the man pages with the Meson build, a change to the dbus-broker systemd service to allow D-Bus applications to use the bus during shutdown, a recommendation to upgrade against libexpat 2.2.3+, and other changes.
