Fedora 12 Alpha Released With New Features

Last week we were able to try out an early version of Fedora 12 Alpha and found that it brought many improvements to the Linux desktop. Among the features in Fedora 12 Alpha is the GNOME 2.28 Beta and KDE 4.3 on the desktop, NetworkManager and web camera improvements, integration of the new and improved Ogg Theora video encoder, PackageKit improvements, enhancements to PulseAudio, better power management, and a horde of KVM improvements.
The Fedora 12 Alpha release announcement can be read on the fedora-announce-list. The next planned pre-release is the Fedora 12 Beta in the middle of October while the final release of Fedora 12 "Constantine" should hit the web in mid November.
