Mesa 24.2.4 is out today as the newest stable point release to this collection of predominantly OpenGL and Vulkan open-source drivers.

Mesa 24.2.4 brings quite a large number of fixes, more so than usual for these bi-weekly point releases. Some of the specific fixes to call out in Mesa 24.2.4 include:

- RADV Vulkan Video fixes.

- NVK driver fixes.

- Mesa X11 code has fixed a crash of the GNOME Shell if Mesa is built with the "legacy-x11=dri2" option.

- The Intel ANV Vulkan driver has seen some ray-tracing (RT) fixes and other general fixes.

- Updating the XeSS workaround executable names on the Intel ANV driver for Satisfactory 1.0.

- Setting force_vk_vendor=-1 for the game Faaast Penguin to avoid XeSS behavior issues when using the Intel ANV Vulkan driver. This is the same workaround applied to other games when running with Steam Play on Intel graphics and XeSS is attempted.

The full list of patches making up Mesa 24.2.4 can be found via the mailing list announcement.
