Radeon Squeezes A Few More Changes For Linux 3.16
Alex Deucher has sent in another pull request for the DRM-Next code targeting the Linux 3.16 kernel.
After sending in GPU VM optimizations and HDMI deep color support along with other changes as part of the initial pull request last week, AMD's Alex Deucher has sent in a secondary pull request for DRM-Next prior to Red Hat's David Airlie sending in the big DRM subsystem pull for the Linux 3.16 merge window.
This second Radeon DRM driver pull request isn't as exciting but it does bring a GART fix for all GPUs of the R600 series and newer, additional virtual memory tuning parameters, and other random fixes. The new virtual memory module parameters are vm_size for specifying the virtual memory address space size (in megabytes, instead of the 4GB default) and the vm_block_size parameter for setting the VM page table size in bits, replacing the default size of 9 bits.
