Red Hat Announces Fedora "Flock" Linux Conference

While Fedora has had its Fedora Users and Developers Conference (FUDCon) since nearly the Linux distribution's conception, only now are they coming up with a new contributor conference design.

At a time when Canonical has abandoned their physical Ubuntu Developer Summit events in favor of virtual Ubuntu Developer Summit meetings, Red Hat on the behalf of the Fedora camp has announced the "Flock" conference.

Flock is a new approach to FUDCon and is a three-day affair (plus a fourth day of optional open hacking) and is more organized than past FUDCons in terms of advanced talks, sprints, and workshops.

The first Flock Linux event will take place in early August at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
