KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 was released on Friday as the newest version of the KDE libraries that complement Qt 5.

New to KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 is a ModemManagerQt module that is a Qt wrapper for the ModemManager API. Existing modules in KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 have seen various fixes, Qt 5.5 support, a new JSON-based plug-in system for KCMUtils, a dummy Wayland implementation for KWindowSystemPrivate in KWindowSystem, and much more.
