With Intel Core Ultra Lunar Lake systems now shipping and the Linux support largely settled, Intel open-source software engineers have begun ramping up their support for Panther Lake due out in a year.

Recently there's been work to begin enabling Xe3 graphics for Panther Lake, 5th Gen NPU driver support for Panther Lake, Sound Open Firmware support, audio driver patches, and various other bits beginning to surface in preparing the Intel Linux driver support for these next-generation Core Ultra processors.

The latest hitting the Linux kernel mailing list on the weekend is adding support to the IGEN6 EDAC driver for Panther Lake H SoCs. EDAC, of course, being for the Error Detection And Correction handling. The Panther Lake H EDAC support builds upon the Meteor Lake P driver code paths and just needs three new compute die IDs for handling Panther Lake H.

Panther Lake H EDAC patch

This patch gets the Panther Lake H EDAC support taken care of and will presumably be upstreamed for the upcoming Linux v6.13 cycle.
