Sound Open Firmware 2.11 Adds AMD ACP 7.0 Strix Point & Intel Panther Lake Support

Sound Open Firmware 2.11 is now available for this open-source audio DSP firmware infrastructure and SDK project backed by Intel, AMD, and other IHVs/ISVs. With SOF 2.11 comes support for new hardware from both AMD and Intel.

Sound Open Firmware 2.11 adds support for AMD Audio Co-Processor 7.0 (ACP 7.0) IP as found with new Ryzen AI 300 "Strix Point" laptops. SOF 2.11 also has initial support for Intel Panther Lake platforms for that hardware expected out in late 2025.

Sound Open Firmware 2.11 also has improved HIFI4 optimizations, support for new Intel Meteor Lake / Lunar Lake / Arrow Lake based devices in the topology code, beamformer (TDBF) and Dynamic Range Compressor (DRC) added to HDA generic topology for Intel platforms, and enhanced render and capture pipelines.
