For going along with the i915 DRM kernel driver support to premiere in Linux 6.2, the Mesa 23.0 development code for Intel's Vulkan driver is exposing performance metrics / hardware counters for DG2 "Alchemist" Arc Graphics hardware.

Merged yesterday to Mesa Git was the DG2/Alchemist performance metrics support that relies upon new kernel driver capabilities coming in Linux 6.2.

For years the Intel Mesa driver code has exposed the Intel Observation Architecture "OA" performance counters to help driver engineers in analyzing problems along with graphics / game engine developers profile their code when hitting bugs or tuning for performance. Now finally the performance metrics support is coming together for current generation Arc Graphics discrete GPUs.

Those interested in this DG2/Alchemist performance metric support can see this now-merged MR.
