FreeBSD 10.2 Beta 1 Released
Gleb Barber of the FreeBSD project just announced the 10.2 beta a few minutes ago.
FreeBSD 10.2 is set to bring various user-space updates, kernel improvements, the ported DRM driver code has been updated against the Linux 3.8.13 kernel, Bhyve virtualization has further improved, there's CPU frequency and voltage control on the Raspberry Pi, ZFS file-system updates, and a variety of other changes.
FreeBSD 10.2 tests will happen when the stable release occurs. FreeBSD 10.2 development is currently proceeding on schedule with the official 10.2-RELEASE set to happen on 31 August while until then will be two more betas and three release candidates -- each one week apart.
