Blender 2.74 was released yesterday as the newest version of this leading open-source 3D/modeling software.

Blender 2.74 delivers improvements to the Cycles Renderer with precision/noise/speed improvements. Blender 2.74 also adds new compositing features to its viewport, there's new user-interface improvements, better hair dynamics, a new "Cavity Mask" tool, memory consumption optimizations, freestyle non-photorealistic rendering work, and many other changes.
