For those wanting to run the very latest bleeding-edge AMDGPU DC display code on an Ubuntu/Debian-based box, here is a fresh x86_64 kernel build of the latest DC kernel patches as of today.

It was on Friday that more AMDGPU DC patches were pushed out as AMD works to have this code all tidied up and prepped for the upcoming Linux 4.15 cycle.

If you want to easily try out this DC-enabled kernel build, I spun up a new Ubuntu/Debian kernel build this morning from Alex Deucher's latest DC code branch. Test at your own risk but you can grab it here.

If you are wanting to use it with a RX Vega graphics card, make sure you fetch the latest Linux firmware Git code as well. And as usual, for best performance, the latest AMDGPU DRM code always pairs nicely with the latest Mesa/LLVM Git.

In terms of the AMD driver code size, the drivers/gpu/drm/amd directory is up to a massive 1,471,133 lines but that does include the many header files. If counting just the new display directory where DC is housed, that's currently at 123,862 lines.
