Initial Servo+Browser.html Release Planned For June
The first version of Servo and Browser.html is planned for release in June. Browser.html is Mozilla's experimental web browser built atop Servo where the UI itself is built in HTML. While a Servo Alpha release was originally expected in 2015, it's great to see a release now planned in a few months.
In order to get this Servo+Browser.html release out the door, they are wanting to make sure their browser can at least render correctly GitHub, DuckDuckGo, HackerNews, and Reddit. They are close on those fronts but there are still some issues remaining.
More details on their planning for this can be found via this Google Groups thread. I'm super excited about the future with Servo given the incredible speed particularly when using their GPU rendering back-end, that this engine is written in Rust, etc.
