GNOME & KDE Developers Go To Battle Over A Name

Ben Cooksley, the KDE System Settings Maintainer, wrote a formal complaint to the GNOME developers over the use of "System Settings" for a GNOME application. Ben requests that the GNOME developers "immediately rename it once again to another name which is not in conflict." He says that it will cause packaging problems if there cannot be two System Settings entries in a desktop menu, as such when running GNOME the KDE System Settings application may not appear listed.
This matter is still being discussed by both sides and can be found in this thread.
