PHORONIX
With Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 and OpenBenchmarking.org making their official debut this weekend at the Southern California Linux Expo, the second and final test release of Phoronix Test Suite 3.0-Iveland is now available. Feel free to test away as this should be nearly identical to the final release.

Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 Release Candidate 2 just contains a number of small bug-fixes and tweaks since PTS 3.0 RC1 that was released a little more than a week ago. Unless any issues are spotted with this new release, it should be basically equivalent to Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 final to be released in the coming days once OpenBenchmarking.org is publicly available. Test away and be sure to upload your results as well to this new open, collaborative testing platform.

For more on Phoronix Test Suite 3.0 and OpenBenchmarking.org, read the Iveland articles. If you will be attending SCALE this weekend in Los Angeles, be sure to attend our talk entitled our talk on Saturday entitled Making More Informed Linux Hardware Choices.
